Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell Pissed About Her Margaret Thatcher Tweet Delete

Twitter can be a scary, scary place!
And that’s just what Geri Halliwell found out this week.
The former Spice Girl took to Twitter as Margaret Thatcher passed away and tried her best to express her feelings about the sad moment.
Unfortunately, her post got some seriously harsh feedback.
She had tweeted:

├óΓé¼┼ôThinking of our 1st Lady of girl power, Margaret Thatcher, a green grocer’s daughter who taught me any thing is possible…x.├óΓé¼┬¥

We’re not sure what people tweeted to Ginger Spice after it went up, but it was bad enough that she deleted her message!
And now, she’s totes regretting the change as she posted a message on her site:

├óΓé¼┼ôWhen I’m scared, my natural state is to hide and run for cover. I questioned myself? Did I really mean what I said? Can I stand tall? Do I even know what I was talking about? … What I hated the most was that I took a tweet down. I had wavered and was full of self-doubt … Now I realise that I do admire a woman, whether she is right or wrong, regardless of her opinions. She had the courage to stand by her convictions. Not like me. I look at my behavior, which exposed how weak I was under fire, not like Margaret Thatcher. Rest in peace.├óΓé¼┬¥

We sure hope Geri isn’t too hard on herself because we think she has always promoted girl power!
She might not think she’s anything like Margaret, but she has encouraged plenty of women to be strong!
Keep your head up, gurl!
