Aaron Goodwin deals with the afterlife for a living… And his wife allegedly wanted to send him there against his will.
Victoria Goodwin, the wife of the Ghost Adventures star, has been arrested after allegedly hatching a plan to take out the paranormal guru… But not on a date. TMZ reported on Monday that the woman was busted last week after an alleged murder-for-hire plot was discovered in the text messages of a Florida prison inmate! Wait, what?! How?!
Well apparently guards discovered the unnamed intimate’s phone and confiscated it as contraband — only to find correspondences with Victoria relating to a hit she placed on her husband of three years — dating all the way back to October! And in case you’re wondering why she didn’t think to opt for divorce rather than literal murder, well, she did… Which makes this situation all the more eerie! In one alleged message, she ponders:
“Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Uhhh, yeah. We’re pretty sure that’s up there with things that make you a bad person!

Law enforcement says Victoria went as far as to provide details relating to Aaron’s Ghost Adventures filming schedule, like his location and time, so the hitman could kill him while he was shooting the show. Whoa!
Cops also say Victoria put aside $11,515 to pay the hitman with an upfront fee of $2,500. They also claim to have discovered a text message from the prison inmate to another unnamed man about the plot. He asked:
“He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
That is so INSANE!
Thank goodness the hit was not carried out as Aaron is still very much alive and well, but it’s incredibly shocking to hear that Victoria had been plotting for five months — while simultaneously posing with Aaron in loved-up pics on Instagram! See (below):
SO chilling.
According to police, Victoria denied wanting Aaron to be killed and wrote the alleged plot off as nothing more than a fantasy about being single. And get this… As for the incriminating text messages, her best argument was to claim she just didn’t remember sending them.
WOW.
As for the money, she claimed she believed it was for cell phones. Not for a hitman. Right.
Aaron spoke briefly to TMZ, informing the outlet he’s completely blindsided as he believed he was in a happy marriage. His Ghost Adventures co-star Zak Bagans told the news org it’s a very emotional time… Rightfully so, we might add! We’re just glad he’s alive.
Victoria was charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder and is being held on $100K bail.
