Gia Allemand's Memorial Service Was Heartbreaking

gia allemand memorial service new orleans

Gia Allemand took her own life last week, and those who knew and loved her had started the week off not knowing that by the weekend, they would be attending her memorial service.

Over 50 of her friends, family, and coworkers too part in the service on Saturday, meant to celebrate her life and morn her death. It was organized in a way that attendees were urged to wear bright colors or white, instead of black. They then threw flowers into the river as a symbol of the love and memory of Gia would forever flow inside them.

Gia wasn’t even 30 yet.

The memorial service took place on the edge of the Mississippi river, put together by friends of where she worked in New Orleans.

Also, we should note that this memorial service was different than the planned funeral, which is detailed HERE.
