Awkward or fashion forward??
As we previously reported, supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid came together for a special double cover of British Vogue. While we felt that Yolanda Hadid‘s girls looked absolutely stunning, it appears that their issue has raised some controversy thanks to one naked, sibling pic.

Ummm, what?? For the cover story, the Hadids stripped down to nothing and posed for photographer Steven Meisel. The magazine promoted this photo on their Twitter account, alongside a quote by Zayn Malik‘s girlfriend about how much she loves her sister (below).

Now, Gigi and Bella DO look stunning here, but many are SLAMMING the nude snap as being “creepy” and somewhat “incestuous.” Fans have dished online:
really disappointed with @BritishVogue ‘s uncomfortable image of @GiGiHadid and @bellahadid. These sisters are doing so well in their careers only for Vogue to sexualise a sibling relationship in the most creepy and non-artistic way. Would you ever put two famous brothers naked..

Everyone is so right on both counts. First, I don’t like this trend of models posing naked when it is supposed to be about fashion, i.e. clothing! Secondly it is definitely inappropriate to have sisters posing naked together.

Vogue is about more than fashion, also beauty, the best photographers, models, and strong women. This is a besutiful, artistic photograph. It says, elegance and art to me, superbly lit and composed. What’s wrong with people that they see ugliness in everything. It’s stunning.
