Wow. Giorgio Armani is the latest designer to get himself into some hot water.
Following Dolce & Gabbana‘s insensitive comments about same-sex families, the 80-year-old Italian fashion icon shared some pretty controversial opinions in a recent interview with Sunday Times magazine.

He expressed:
“A homosexual man is a man 100%. He does not need to dress homosexual. When homosexuality is exhibited to the extreme├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥to say, ‘Ah, you know I’m homosexual’├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥that has nothing to do with me. A man has to be a man.”
Hmm. We’re not exactly sure what dressing a certain way has to do with being a man.
Especially considering Giorgio chose to have women also walk the runway for his latest menswear collection, we’re honestly kind of surprised.
And he also shared:
“I don’t like muscle boy. Not too much gym! I like somebody healthy, somebody solid, who looks after his body but doesn’t use his muscles too much.”
Well, to each their own.
It’s just interesting that his campaigns take a completely different approach, with them being focused on fit, muscular men like, most recently, Calvin Harris.
Except it’s not just men he’s critical of, though. Giorgio divulged:
“A small breast does not have to become big. I prefer to look at a natural woman. A woman should be courageous to become older, not desperate to look younger than her age.”
Wow. A lot of people are going to have opinions about his comments, that’s for sure!
But will these cause celebs to boycott the designer like they did with Dolce & Gabbana??
