Some people just don’t get it.
Even after studying the history of the Holocaust with her father, who sadly passed away, teen Breanna Mitchell somehow still doesn’t get it.
She posted a picture of herself smiling in front of the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz, which obviously started offending people. So, she took it down, but not before some news outlets had already picked up the story.
THEN Miz Mitchell’s reaction was even worse, posting the screenshot (above) and tweeting, “I’m famous yall.”
Gurl, NOT cool!
We get it. She studied the death camps with her dad, who tragically never made it on the trip there with her, so she was happy she was able to go. But you’d think that someone who learned so much about this horrific place would understand why it’s not the time or place for a smiling selfie!
There’s nothing about this place that should make anyone smile!
Breanna is still young, and we have faith that eventually she’ll understand why this is so not okay. For now though, we’d encourage her to stop thinking that Nazi death camp fame is a good thing.
