Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh admits that the girls have been growing apart from Nadine Coyle, who now lives in Los Angeles. She explains:
“People look for conflict where there isn├óΓé¼Γäót any. In any group, there will be people you are really on the same wavelength as and others where it├óΓé¼Γäós different. But it doesn├óΓé¼Γäót mean we├óΓé¼Γäóre not friends. Nadine lives in LA now so it├óΓé¼Γäós inevitable you grow apart.”
Kimba admits that she is closest with bandmates Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts saying that with them, “it’s the same [type of relationship as with her oldest friends].”
She also says that the band’s year-long hiatus has been good for her. “I really am not competitive with any of the girls,” she says. “it’s been nice to have a break and do our own things.”
That’s fine — just as long as you get back together and make some more music!
