Giving Back

It’s always nice to see celebrities doing good!
Justin Timberlake has donated $200,000 on behalf of his charity, The Justin Timberlake Foundation, to the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum and the Memphis Music Foundation, each getting $100k.
JT is originally from Memphis. Very sweet of him to give back to his hometown. It definitely counterbalances his cockiness, which can be off-putting at times.
Both organizations will use the donation to enhance the music education systems for local students. Their organization├óΓé¼Γäós mission is to tell ├óΓé¼┼ôthe story of Memphis Music and perpetuating its legacy.”
John Doyle, the executive director of Memphis Rock ├óΓé¼╦£n├óΓé¼Γäó Soul, said “Justin Timberlake has never deserted Memphis, Tennessee. He has never stopped giving back to the community, to the local music industry, and to young people.”
Awwwwww!
JT is currently filming an independent film called The Open Road.
After his donation, he stated “Music education and keeping the legacy of Memphis Music alive has always been important to me. That is why I will always continue to support my home town the same way they have always supported me.”
Rock on! Studies show, kids that study music in school do better in life and make more money.
It’s a good thing!
