We don’t mean to belittle the Glambert, but if you are going to start digging into the pool of Idols for mentors, shouldn’t you start with some that have had REAL success. Carrie Underwood? Kelly Clarkson? Hell, Clay Aiken???

Producers from American Idol confirm that last season’s runner-up, Adam Lambert, will be mentoring this season’s contestants the April 13 episode. No word on theme yet, but we’re sure it will have something to do with rock-and-roll.
Hopefully, that will liven up the humdrum season a bit!
