Last week, Good Morning America was finally able to take over the ratings throne that NBC’s Today had been sitting on for 852 weeks.
While George Stephanopoulos and the rest of the GMA crew were celebrating their victory, NBC News president Steve Capus promised it would be short lived.
In an interview, he basically belittled the ABC broadcast and delivered this backhanded burn:
“I really don├óΓé¼Γäót think anybody in the audience at home is on the edge of their seats wondering how this is going to go. If we continue to keep our eye on the ball and perform at a level that the audience has come to expect every single morning, and I would suggest we have, then I think that├óΓé¼Γäós what really matters.”
It sounds like somebody is a sore loser!
Then again, if that’s not motivation to beat Today‘s ratings for a SECOND week in a row, we don’t know what is.
Since we don’t listen to haters, let’s go ahead and cue some more victory music for ABC!
We are the champions! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! No time for losers ’cause we are the CHAMPIONS!
Of last week’s ratings.
