Kaylee Hottle‘s cause of death has been confirmed.
As we previously reported, the 18-year-old actress, best known for playing Jia in the Godzilla franchise, died in a car accident on Tuesday morning after the vehicle swerved off the road “and struck a culvert.” Two others had been in the car at the time of the crash, but they both survived. The 19-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another passenger declined medical assistance at the scene. Now, new details are coming out about the Godvilla vs. Kong star’s death.

According to TMZ on Wednesday, the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed Kaylee died from multiple blunt force injuries. Her death has been ruled an accident.

A representative for the examiner added that they are conducting more tests to determine if Kayle had any drugs or alcohol in her system at the time of her death. Those tests can take up to 10 days to complete, so it is unknown when the report will be finished.
