We wonder if Dolly approves?
Universal Pictures is developing a remake of the 1982 movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds, which was based on the Broadway play by Larry L. King.
The story is about a town sheriff and local madam who go after a TV personality trying to shut down a local whorehouse, The Chicken Ranch, which was featured in Playboy magazine.
Dolly’s famous song “I Will Always Love You” was featured in the film version, but the studio isn’t saying if they will be using the same songs in the upcoming remake.
Universal has hired Legally Blonde screenwriting duo Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith to pen the revamped modern version.
