Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
Bryant Collins, a car repairman and former convicted felon, was traveling down a Georgia state highway for a job when he spotted something out of the corner of his eye that made him do a double take, and also allowed him to eventually make a heroic maneuver!
That something was that he spotted a 15-month-old baby crawling almost next to the highway — extremely close to the dangerous traffic! So Bryant stopped the car and picked the baby up in his arms! And almost definitely saved her life!
Here’s how Bryant explained it:
“I had seen something out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was a baby. I just stopped and there was a baby ├óΓé¼┬ª almost in the highway. I’ve been in a lot of bad situations. But I’ve never seen that.”
According to police, the 15-month-old baby girl had crawled 300 yards from her house, down a major embankment, to end up alongside the highway, and it’s an absolute miracle she wasn’t hurt!
And a large share of the credit for that belongs to the repairman who spotted her!
Meanwhile the baby’s father, Timothy Pickens, has been arrested, and it’s possible the mother may face charges, as well.
As for the hero of the day – the former felon, who once spent ten years in prison for cocaine manufacturing, seemed to enjoy being the good guy for once. Bryant Collins said:
“It made me feel good that I could be in society and do good. Just as well as you can do bad, you can do good, you know?”
Not just good – real good!
Props to this guy, who’s now five years drug-free, for being one of the realest heroes we’ve heard of in a LONG time!!!!
