When we heard that they were remaking Goosebumps into a blockbuster movie, we were a little afraid of how it would turn out.
Well, the trailer for the Jack Black-led film dropped on Wednesday, and, as it turns out, we didn’t have anything to worry about at all!
The sneak peek into the scary reboot starts off as if it’s going to be one of R.L. Stine‘s classic novels, but then things take an unexpected turn when Jack Black is actually revealed as R.L. himself!

It’s exactly how nostalgic remakes should be treated and we honestly cannot wait to see how it all plays out when it hits theaters on October 16!
Plus, it stars Fitz’s son Jerry aka Dylan Minnette from Scandal, so that’s a thing.
