Intriguing!
Last we heard about Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz, he was working on a US remake of UK sci-fi series Misfits.
Now, Josh has teamed up with his Gossip Girl co-creator Stephanie Savage to produce veteran sci-fi writer/producer Rockne S. O’Bannon’s new mystery drama Cult for The CW!
Here’s how the show is being described:
“Cult centers on an inquisitive, young female production assistant on a wildly popular television show called Cult who, after a rash of disappearances and a likely murder, joins a journalist blogger in investigating the rabid fans of the series who might be re-creating crimes seen on the program in real life.”
Cult is officially new CW president Mark Pedowitz’s FIRST pilot order since taking over the network! Assuming it gets picked up to series, it is likely to run for a 13 episode season!
Prez Pedowitz has made some great decisions at The CW thus far…so we have faith that he’ll make the right move here!
