Grant Gustin can’t take any more of your body shaming.
The actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to blast fans who criticized his slim physique after seeing a prototype of the new suit he would be wearing as Barry Allen on the upcoming season of The Flash.
The image began circulating online this week, showing an outfit that looks thinner than the traditional leather we’re used to seeing on The CW superhero and a new mask.

But because we’re talking about social media, a number of users still complained that the actor was a little too lithe for their liking — and here for it, Grant was not.
The Glee alum went OFF on his body shamers in a lengthy Instagram post, telling them it’s no better to “talk shit about a dude’s body” — especially a dude like Grant, who has been told he’s been “too thin” his whole life. He wrote:
“As far as the body shaming. That’s what pisses me off. Not even just for my sake. I’ve had 20+ years of kids and adults telling me or my parents that I was too thin. But there’s a double standard where it’s OK to talk shit about a dude’s body. I do my best to stay in shape and add as much size as I can throughout these seasons. I’m naturally thin, and my appetite is greatly affected by stress. Stress is something that ebbs and flows for me throughout a season. Thus, gaining weight is a challenge for me.”
He also shared a more emotional message on his Instagram Story, telling fans he might not stay on social media much longer if the body shaming kept up.
