We’re just days away from hearing Green Day‘s first single off of ├é┬íUno!. But the band has more great news for their fans and documentary film enthusiasts alike!
The boys are planning on releasing TWO documentaries that chronicle their history, as well as the making of their upcoming trilogy.
We hear the former will feature footage of the punk band before they hit it big with 1994’s Dookie, as Billie Joe Armstrong told sources:
“It’s not going to be the sitting down, head shot of me going, ‘We started out blah blah blah.’ We wanted to get into lifestyles of rock ‘n’ roll and playing rock n roll and letting the story kind of tell itself rather than create revisionist (history).”
Vintage Green Day? We like! Execs at their record label are hoping that the rock doc will be ready in less than a year so it can premiere at the next Sundance Film Festival.
Don’t forget to start tuning into the radio on Monday, July 16 because that’s when we’ll start hearing their newest song, Oh Love.
