This is equal parts sad and bizarre, so we’re a little confused on how to feel.
Alex Lanchester was living in the UK a few months ago when she got a phone call from her fianc├â┬⌐ Tucker Blandford‘s father telling her that Tucker had committed suicide.
Alex was devastated as she and Tucker were to be wed last week here in the states.
However, when she called Tucker’s mother to grieve, she found out that Tucker had actually been the man on the phone telling her about his (fake) suicide; not his father.
That’s right.
And not only was he alive, he hadn’t even told his family about his wedding plans… which, were supposed to take place in his Connecticut hometown where the pair had met back in August 2012.
We realize that must have been the worst thing anyone could have done to you, Alex, but we say you’re lucky. He definitely doesn’t sound like the marriage type.
The 23-year-old Brit is now vacationing in the U.S. on her own, seeing as she probably still had the plane ticket over here for the nuptials.
Looking back, Alex isn’t as surprised about Tucker’s totally messed up break up, saying:
“In hindsight, all the warning signs were there and I should have known he wasn├óΓé¼Γäót going to marry me. But I was young, in love and naive.”
Girl, it is not your fault that he did this to you. Don’t blame yourself.
Also, Tucker, you were in a long-distance relationship. You literally couldn’t have been in a better position than that to call off the wedding like a normal person.
Just sayin’.
