Guardians Of The Galaxy‘s Thursday night preview’s box office results are in, and they are making analysts look like they had less than 12% of a plan!
Whether it was the strength of some great trailers or even better word of mouth, the fans showed up, and they came in droves!
All told, GOTG took in a rocking $11.2 million!
Just to put that in perspective, the other biggest earners of the year were Captain America: The Winter Soldier (10.2m), Godzilla (9.3m), and Transformers: Age Of Extinction (8.8m).
And this ragtag band of space renegades blew them all away!
Now what was estimated to be a $65 million opening weekend is impossible to figure out! Based on Thursday’s numbers this thing could even break $100 mil!
Never underestimate the power of the losers!
Especially when those losers are Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista!
