Gwen Stefani Is Totally MAGA Now! But What REALLY Drove Her There??

WTF, Gwen Stefani?!

She first raised some eyebrows in December when she promoted something called Hallow, a prayer app that charges up to $69.99 for a premium subscription. (Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause hilariously calls it Pay To Pray!) It’s a pretty disgustingly capitalist version of Christianity that’s right at home… in the US right wing. You know, the kind of Christian Nationalist movement where they worship a businessman known for stiffing workers and pooping in a golden toilet. But hey, at least he’ll take rights away from women and Brown people, guaranteed!

Not everyone saw that little warning… but the next red flag she raised was a huge one! With some white and blue on top! Dangit, that doesn’t work, all the flags look alike now… We meant to imply Russia! Because she promoted Tucker Carlson!

Yeah, last Thursday, the No Doubt singer shared a clip from the Putin propaganda-funded Republican pundit’s show. It was apparently in praise of Tucker’s guest, Christian actor Jonathan Roumie, as she wrote:

“Wow @JonathanRoumie u r a powerful inspirational human what an enlightening intelligent beautiful interview thank you for being u gx.”

But still. It wasn’t him on The View, he was talking to Tucker freakin’ Carlson. Naturally a lot more of her fanz got the message this time, with some writing:

“Hard oooooof. Normalize not promoting Tucker Carlson”

“Gwen as a long time fan you’re making it harder and harder to keep supporting you please don’t platform Tucker Carlson the Russian propagandist good lord”

“Ohh Gwen becoming a right wing grifter”

“Gwen is in her Trump era”

“As a day one solo career fan, who has paid top dollar to see your special post-Super Bowl show, Las Vegas residency & all of your solo tours, I am BEYOND disappointed in you; I’m simply done. You don’t owe me anything… but I also don’t owe you my dollars or respect”

That last one, damn.

Anyway, the question on many lips has been… WTF is she doing? A source confirmed to DailyMail.com on Friday that even from up close, she “appears to have gone MAGA.” And furthermore, she “doesn’t care” if it offends her longtime fans! Ouch!

But… how??

Gwen was a big fundraiser for Barack Obama and supported Joe Biden by performing for a party he hosted once. We really thought the singer of Just A Girl was a supporter of women’s rights. So what happened? How did she get red-pilled?

She hasn’t been accused of rape or fraud, that’s usually what drives celebs and politicians to the right-wing grift this quick. But there’s a decent chance this is all about Blake Shelton. The insider said:

“Some of this can be attributed to her marriage, as Blake is an infamous Republican. She shut out everyone for him. She doesn’t seem to care about her fans anymore and has shed her persona to become the unrecognizable opposite of what she once was.”

She shut everyone else out?? Oof. That does sound familiar…

That’s another way people get red-pilled, you have someone “telling it like it is” in your ear all the time, and your position as their spouse necessitates you agreeing with them. You know, just to make your life easier. Like how passengers always agree with their driver — even when they’re WAY in the wrong. They may not really think the other person was driving like a maniac, but this is the driver they have to go home with.

Then again…

Gwen is a rich white woman. It’s not like any of this oppression will actually affect her. It’s a demo that does tend to lean Republican. Oh, and we’re missing one other thing here… When’s the last time you heard a Gwen Stefani banger on Spotify? Yeah. Besides accusations and associations, the other surefire road to red? Grievance. The insider says her lack of success lately is helping drive her to the right wing:

“She cannot sell albums anymore and with her new holier-than-thou campaign, it has really turned a lot of people off. After [teaming up with the Catholic] app, she released her last album Bouquet which was an absolute bomb. This has caused Interscope to consider dropping her which is a travesty considering she was once one of their top selling artists. But she has only herself to blame.”

Eesh! But this has the ring of truth. That album was a HUGE flop. And anger does lead to hate and thus to the dark side.

Ouch! We’d say thoughts and prayers… But who can afford $69.99 a month??

Whatever caused it, no one should expect her to show any remorse. She’s bought in, says the source:

“The Tucker Carson situation is not anything new, though. This is who she has become. Gwen is not even trying to hide who she has become and this person is unrecognizable to her fans, friends and even her label.”

Well, it’s sad… But also… is it really that much of a surprise these days?
