Don’t worry! These kids are far, far away!
Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed she is splitting with her husband Chris Martin, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t spending time together!
In fact – both of them broke the news from the Bahamas where they are on vacation with their children Apple and Moses.
The couple wanted to make sure their kids were in total paradise when the news broke, and also so they could sit them down and explain as best as they can what’s going on. You know, without being hounded by the media!
It’s never easy for children (especially at Apple and Moses’ age: under 10) to go through the splitting up of their parents.
However, in our view, it’s way better to see two happy parents separately then to see two miserable parents together!
In the post announcing the statement said:
“We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. [We are] parents first and foremost. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
We really do appreciate the fact that both plan to stick in each other’s lives for their children’s sake! It sounds like something everyone should do, but unfortunately more often than not doesn’t happen like that.
It’s absolutely possible to raise bright and happy kids with two parents that aren’t together.
It just takes cooperation and love!
