Hailey Bieber was super emotional once she sealed the deal on the sale of her skincare and beauty brand!
In case you missed it, the 28-year-old makeup mogul announced this week that e.l.f. Beauty acquired Rhode for a whopping $1 BILLION! Wow! What an exciting achievement for Hailey after only having her company for three years! With the deal, she is now part of one of the most exclusive clubs in history — the billionaire club!
So how does it feel being a billionaire?? It’s a relief!

As you can imagine, the road to closing such a jaw-dropping deal was not easy for Hailey. While trying to work on the acquisition, she was dealing with marital issue rumors with Justin, so the entire process was “very stressful” for her, a US Sun source claimed on Thursday. However, she got it done! And the second the agreement was official, Hailey couldn’t help but burst into tears! The insider said:
“Despite everything going on with Justin, she remained focused and poured her energy into her company. When everything was finalized, she couldn’t stop crying and screaming with joy. I haven’t seen her like this since the birth of her son.”
Her business was like her baby, too! She built and watched it grow into the massive success it is today! The source added that Hailey was “on her knees for 10 minutes, repeatedly saying, ‘Oh my god!’ and ‘This is so crazy!'” — all while her loved ones flooded her phone with over 900 congratulatory messages.
BTW it’s not just the money that caused her to cry. If she only freaked out over the dough, no one would blame her! That’s a lot of cash! And her billionaire status arrived at the perfect time amid Justin’s rumored financial problems! Yet Hailey has another explanation for why she is so excited about the deal! She also gets to expand her role in the business! Part of the agreement was that she would have “an even bigger role as Chief Creative Officer, and Head of Innovation” at Rhode AND serve as the strategic advisor to e.l.f. Beauty. What a boss! Damn!
And the boss part is the real juice. According to the confidant, Hailey feels she achieved her goals of becoming a businesswoman in her own right and not relying solely on her very famous husband to provide for their family:
“This achievement is a lifetime dream for her. She has always wanted to inspire women and show that, with hard work, success is attainable. She hopes to serve as a role model for strong, independent women entrepreneurs.”
Hell yes! Moving forward, the source shared that Hailey plans to use her money wisely. She reportedly will re-invest some of it into clothing and real estate ventures. Not only that, the entrepreneur wants to give back to the community and donate to women’s and children’s charities. The insider said Hailey wants to have a “positive, lasting impact on society, especially during these challenging times when minorities and vulnerable groups, including LGBTQ+ individuals, face significant challenges in areas like education and empowerment.”

A second source close to the Biebers added she is inspired by several women in business like Rihanna and Kylie Jenner who “are not only successful entrepreneurs and billionaires but also great mothers.” They added:
“Now she feels part of that club.”
Despite the huge accomplishment, Hailey is nowhere near ready to rest yet! The insider noted she celebrated with a few glasses of champagne (and had a good cry) and is back to work already! She won’t take a vacation and is focused on creating a “business empire.” It looks like Hailey is well on her way to that dream!
All of this has served as a much-needed distraction from Justin’s drama. Hailey insisted to Vogue they were fine, but sources claimed to The US Sun their marriage is at a breaking point! And fans are even begging her to leave him now! Oof! Yet nothing is raining on her parade at the moment! Hailey’s pal told the outlet:
“This success has given her a significant confidence boost, especially after feeling insecure and depressed about her life recently. Sealing this deal is like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds in her life.”
Hopefully, Hailey keeps shining! And now that Justin appears to be in caption jail after the Vogue ordeal, perhaps some of the marital stress she was previously experiencing will ease! That and the financial pressure!
The deal must feel like a relief in the finance department! We heard Justin was struggling financially over the years. He reportedly was “broke” — so much so that he sold his music catalog for $200 million in 2022. However, the pop star somehow pissed the money away. He also owes his former manager, Scooter Braun, millions for his canceled tour. So, will the Biebers pay back the money now that she is a billionaire? Or is Hailey making Justin figure that all on his own?
