Hannah Davis Opens Up About Being Photoshopped & Told To Lose Weight!

Hannah spills about the modeling industry!
While plenty of models have recently shamed magazines that photoshop their images, Hannah Davis isn’t about to get all up-in-arms about it.
The gorgeous gal graced the cover of Health‘s April issue, and opened up inside the pages about her thoughts on the tactic, saying:

“It’s not a big deal; maybe they just wanted it a little bit more airbrushed-looking, and that’s their style. I’ve never had anyone alter my face. They’ve only sort of smoothed things out.”

Considering the St. Thomas native is still an island girl at heart — even though she moved to New York — we aren’t entirely surprised at her laid-back response.

But just because the brunette beauty understands why publications opt to retouch models, that doesn’t mean she likes how it looks! She told the glossy:

“I think you look like a Barbie doll when they erase the wrinkles under your eyes. I don’t mind if there’s a crease when I smile. They’re just creases. They’re fine ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ leave ’em!”

And while it’s clear that the former Sports Illustrated cover girl is smokin’, she’s still been told to loose weight:

“You get a little backlash once in a while ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ maybe they want you to slim down for something.”

However, the model doesn’t let it get her down, confessing:

“Now it’s like, ‘Sorry, I don’t care. If you don’t want to work with me, that’s OK with me.’ It’s not a cocky thing; I’m just more concerned with my quality of life. I don’t want to go to birthday parties and not eat cake, and I think that has made me in better shape in some ways.”

YAAAAAS. You tell ’em, girl!
The 25-year-old explained that when she first moved to NYC — and stopped playing tennis — her body began to change, admitting:

“I was a bloated version of myself. I tried as hard as I could to maintain a modelesque body type, but I realized I had grown out of it. It just wasn’t attainable anymore because it’s not what my body wanted to do. My agents wanted me to do Fashion Week in Milan, and I knew I didn’t look like the rest of the girls.”

But thanks to her momma, she embraced her new physique:

“I credit my mom because she always told me, ‘Oh, if they don’t want you, who cares? You’ll find someone who does.'”

We love that Hannah is able to brush off all those casting agents who say she’s not thin enough!
