Harry Hamlin & Lisa Rinna Apologize For Their Offensive Halloween Costumes

It seems Harry is regretting wearing a swastika shirt this year.
Harry Hamlin has officially been inducted into the group of celebrities who have offended the masses with less-than-tasteful Halloween ensembles.
On Friday, the actor and his wife, Lisa Rinna, selected Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen as their couple’s costume for George Clooney‘s Beverly Hills bash.

However, the 64-year-old made the poor choice of donning a swastika shirt while dressing up as the late Sex Pistols rocker.
On Monday, the couple took to the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star’s Instagram account to apologize for their upsetting outfits.
The soap opera actress posted a picture of writing that read “I’m sorry,” and continued the emotional statement in the caption, saying:

“[I’m sorry] If I hurt you. We were being authentic to our characters of Sid and Nancy for our Halloween costumes. It hurt and angered many of you and we are deeply sorry for that. That was never our intention. We did not mean to offend. With love, Lisa and Harry.”

We appreciate that the pair apologized, but we can’t help but wonder why these two possibly thought that wearing the offensive symbol would be a good idea, even in the name of “being authentic.”
They looked in the mirror before they left, didn’t they? What do U think, Perezcious readers? SOUND OFF in the comments!
