Looks like the live-action remake of the anime classic Akira is about to gain some serious credibility!
We were skeptical when we heard that Zefron might take on the lead role in Akira, which we’re still not sure would be the best fit for him, but we’re definitely excited to hear which screenwriter they’ve hired to work on the script!
Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves has been hired by Warner Bros to polish up the Akira script.
The film’s script has gone through a variety of drafts, but we’re thinking that Kloves will be the one to bring it exactly where it needs to be!
Nice to hear that life after Harry is treating Kloves well. We know there are A LOT of die-hard Akira fans out there who are VERY skeptical about this project.
If anybody can put together a script that will satisfy them, it’d be Steven!
…This is of course assuming the final Harry Potter film is incredible! If it’s anything less, we reserve the right to change our minds, Mr. Kloves. But we’ll remain optimistic…for now!
