Hayden Christensen Quit Acting Because Of The Star Wars Prequels -- Find Out Why He's Finally Back!

So that’s why!
Hayden Christensen hasn’t appeared in many movies playing Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel movies.
Sure, he showed up in a couple recognizable films such as Jumper and Takers — both of which were pretty much panned by critics — but he hasn’t taken on projects like you’d expect a star in his prime to do.

After a few years off and spending time on his farm with baby mama Rachel Bilson, Hayden opened up to the Los Angeles Times about his break from acting, saying:

“I guess I felt like I had this great thing in ‘Star Wars’ that provided all these opportunities and gave me a career, but it all kind of felt a little too handed to me. I didn’t want to go through life feeling like I was just riding a wave.”

But Christensen is back in the Hollywood saddle promoting what is reported as his first movie in five years, 90 Minutes in Heaven.

However, the 34-year-old isn’t blind to the fact that his break has had an affect on his career as he admits:

“You can’t take years off and not have it affect your career. But I don’t know ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ in a weird, sort of destructive way, there was something appealing about that to me. There was something in the back of my head that was like, ‘If this time away is gonna be damaging to my career, then so be it. If I can come back afterward and claw my way back in, then maybe I’ll feel like I earned it.'”

It sounds like Hayden’s got his head in a good place and we hope that he’s stronger and better taking the path that he did.
Do you think he can “claw” his way back into the limelight again?
