Oh how royally embarrassing!
Helena Bonham Carter got a chance to stand before the future King awhile back but she confesses she didn’t exactly curtsy to Prince William and make small talk.
Quite the opposite!
The Oscar-nominated actress had been boozing big time while on holiday in the Caribbean at the same resort that Wills and his then girlfriend Kate Middleton were staying at!
She explained that she walked up to the heir to the British throne and asked him a question, saying:
“I got very drunk at one point, and I was determined to ask him to be a godfather to my daughter.”
So what was William’s answer??
HBC said:
“He quite wisely said ‘no.├óΓé¼Γäó”
Aw!
But you played his great-grandmother in The King’s Speech! And a damn fine performance we might add! Shouldn’t that count for something?
Maybe you could keep trying with some of the other royals, Miz Bonham Carter. We bet Harry would be a fun godfather to have!
