Helena Bonham Carter Wanted To Put 'Handle With Care' Tape On Her Forehead After Her Breakup With Tim Burton!

Poor thing!
We were so sad when Hollywood’s most eccentric couple decided to call it quits. But we weren’t the only ones! Helena Bonham Carter opened up to Harper’s Bazaar UK about how devastated she was when she and Tim Burton broke up.
For those of you who may not remember, the precious pair parted ways back in 2014, after 13 years, two kids, and seven films together.
And now, the 49-year-old is talking about how fragile she felt after the high-profile split.

While the former flames never officially married, the momma-of-two told the glossy that their breakup felt like a divorce, saying:

“With divorce, you go through massive grief ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ it is a death of a relationship, so it’s utterly bewildering. Your identity, everything, changes.”

The actress also admitted that after their relationship’s emotional end, she contemplated slapping “handle with care” tape across her forehead, to let everyone know, “I’m not myself at the moment, so be careful.”
But, she stressed that feeling broken doesn’t make you weak, adding:

“Everyone always says you have to be strong and have a stiff upper lip, but it’s okay to be fragile. You’ve got to take very small steps, and sometimes you won’t know where to go next because you’ve lost yourself.”

So true.
And even though she plays the Red Queen in her ex’s Alice in Wonderland adaptations, the UK native actually follows advice from her character’s nemesis, confessing:

“There’s a great quote I’ve stuck next to the kettle. It’s from Alice: ‘I can’t explain myself ├óΓé¼┬ª because I’m not myself’.”

But in spite of how much she was hurting after her split from the acclaimed filmmaker, Miz Bonham Carter admitted they still get along pretty well:

“We really do get on, so that’s good. I understand him very well and he understands me. It might be easier to work together without being together any more. He always only cast me with great embarrassment.”

And while the movie star does believe she could find love again someday, it’s not at the top of her priority list:

“I feel very self-sufficient at the moment. I’m just going to work out who I am on my own and it’s quite liberating. I’m not in a hurry ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I’ve never been someone who needs to be necessarily half of something. And I have my children, which is the most important thing.”

We’re loving the independence and girl power vibes!
