Goodfellas Inspiration Henry Hill Has Passed Away

Henry Hill passed away
Henry Hill, the real-life inspiration for Ray Liotta‘s character in the Martin Scorsese movie Goodfellas, has passed away.
The ex-mobster died in a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday of an unknown illness that had made him sick for a long time. According to a family member, “his heart just stopped.”
After becoming an FBI informant in the 1980s and helping the authorities nab 50 of his criminal associates on various convictions, Hill left his mob life behind and entered the witness protection program.
He was relocated to Seattle with his family, but eventually got busted on a drug charge in 1987 before being kicked out of the program in the early ’90s.
We’re always sad to hear of people passing, but nobody can say this guy didn’t live an interesting life. Rest in peace, Mr. Hill!
