King Kong is back!
Spirit Pictures has purchased the rights to the novel, Kong: King of Skull Island, a prequel to the original tale of Kong written by Joe DeVito and Brad Strickland, released while Peter Jackson‘s 2005 remake of King Kong was being filmed.
King of Skull Island touches on how Kong became King of Skull Island and introduces a slew of new characters, including dinosaurs and other gorillas.
The new Kong flick has plans to use motion capture technology, most popularly known as the CG technology used in the Robert Zemekis picture, The Polar Express.
