Honey Boo Boo Moving In With Her Boyfriend When She Starts College!

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is taking a HUGE step in her relationship!

The 17-year-old television personality is not only heading to Regis University in Denver, Colorado, to study nursing very soon but moving in with her controversial boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, after almost three years of dating! WHAT?! In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, Alana opened up about her big plans with her beau, saying:

“I’ll be moving off campus for security reasons and because Dralin is coming with me. I think he’s more excited to move out there than me. He’s been in the exact same town [in Georgia] that I live in now for his whole life, and I think he’s just ready to experience something new, too. I think it’ll be good for us honestly and I mean, I think it will be fun. Even though I’m moving halfway across the country, it’ll be good for me.”

Although the couple are moving in together, that does not mean they are ready for other huge changes yet – including marriage! Alana shared that they’ve “definitely talked about the future” but still have a few things to “figure out in the long run,” explaining:

“I can’t say that [he’s the one] because I don’t know what life holds — any day now, anything can happen — but I mean, I hope. I don’t want kids, but he wants kids.”

There’s definitely no rush to get hitched or have children if that ever ends up being something they want! While they are not ready for these major milestones, these two already seem pretty serious! Moving in together is a big deal! And it’s bound to make any family a little nervous, especially since they’re still so young. So how does her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, who has sole custody of Alana, feel about the situation? She’s giving the teen reality star her blessing! The 23-year-old told ET:

“You don’t truly know somebody until you move in with somebody.”

Mhm! Spending a bunch of time with someone under one roof can tell you whether or not you’re compatible in the long term! Lauryn continued:

“All that matters to me is that Dralin treats Alana right. He’s respectful, and my kids love him and his family is great. That’s all that matters to me.”
