Honestly, we think not, but Nigel Lythgoe, the man behind So You Think You Can Dance seems to think otherwise.
He is holding off from giving Paula Abdul a position on his Idol-esque dance competition show because he believes the decision to let Paula go might be reversed.
However, if he’d pay close attention to the media, he would have read exactly how Fox Entertainment chairman Peter Rice feels about the situation when he said “Our understanding is we├óΓé¼Γäóve concluded the negotiations and Paula has announced she will not be coming back.”
That sounds like a done deal to us. Course, you never know what the power of the fans will do. We’ll just have to wait to see how it all pans out.
But Nigel is very keen to book Paula. So even if no Idol return is in her future, America won’t have time to miss the wacky judge for long.
Nigel says, “I don├óΓé¼Γäót know anybody that├óΓé¼Γäós had her experience of being a dancer, of being a choreographer and of being a judge.”
A perfect fit, we think. Except putting Mary Murphy and Paula in the same room might not be the greatest idea ever.
