Control Your Kid's Holiday Tantrums With These Tips!

Control Your Kid's Holiday Tantrums With These Tips!

With the holidays here, it may be difficult to keep your kid’s schedule as normal as possible.
So instead of dealing with some cray tantrums at your next big bash, follow these tips:

Prepare yourself:
Family psychologist, Fran Walfish suggests that “if your 4-year-old is having a tantrum because she├óΓé¼Γäós overwhelmed and overtired, you need to stop everything and settle your child.├óΓé¼┬¥
Prepare the kiddies:
Walfish says, before you go to someone’s house, ├óΓé¼┼ôvisually narrate what will happen [at the party], all the changes, including sleeping in a different bed,├óΓé¼┬¥ and take a sentimental item with them.
What to do while at the event:
Child psychologist, Vicki Panaccione notes, “limit the overwhelm by coming to their rescue if they are inundated by people or gifts and explain to them why everyone wants to hold or kiss them.”

It’s easy to try to relate something to your baby, but getting them to understand what exactly is going on may be the hard part. Walfish suggests to “focus on family togetherness” because that’s what children love best.
Now that you have some GREAT tips, you can have some tantrum-free holidays!! Yay!!
