Suspenders and frizzy-curls are all in a twist this morning!
With Larry King finally stepping down after 250 years on television, there is a lot of talk on who might replace him. Everyone from Ryan Seacrest to Justin Bieber is being considered (we kid, Biebs to small for the CNN desk), and one possible candidate is Howard Stern.
Well, actually, he’s not so much a candidate as he is a prime example of who Larry DOESN’T want replacing him! He told a reporter for Steppin’ Out magazine that Howard was “worthless” and “tasteless” and would hate to see his show go to the “least common denominator” of the industry.
As you can imagine, Howard took that well.
Sources say that over the weekend, while he was in the Hamptons, Howard really laid into the the CNN host to some friends, calling him a loser and claiming that Larry is a worse man than he will ever be. He told friends:
“It’s alleged he was banging his wife’s sister and he’s saying that I’m tasteless? He’s a frog ├óΓé¼┬ª an imp and he’s the luckiest man in show business.”
Not your best insult, but biting all the same.
In all fairness to Larry, we wouldn’t want to see Howard Stern replace him either. Not for the same reasons, mind you. We just would HATE to have to see that greasy 80’s frizz factory on TV again!
