Howie’s got some cleaning up to do!
In a world where we capture almost everything someone says on some sort of recording device, and can share it with anyone in a click of a button, we find people must be a lot more careful in what they say.
Howie Mandel is still learning that as he said something on last night’s America’s Got Talent that upset quite a few people.

As the fan favorite performer Stevie Starr was on stage performing his talent of swallowing random objects whole and bringing them back up in one piece, Howie tried to make a quippy remark by saying:
“You, sir, make bulimia entertaining.”
As you can imagine there was an immediate rustling and reaction from the audience after he made the comment.
But Mandel recognized his mistake and made sure to do his best to make up for his boneheaded words by apologizing on air a few acts later. The AGT judge said:
“I just wanna take a second just to apologize. I made a comment earlier, it’s live television, I wasn’t thinking. I made light of bulimia, which is a very serious eating disorder and mental health issue. I deal with mental health all the time, and I did something stupid. I should never make light of it. I apologize to anybody that was offended. I’m not perfect, I make mistakes.”
Mandel later took to the Twitterverse as well to make sure his message was heard by tweeting:
I am NOT perfect. I make mistakes. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was offended.

Well, we obviously agree that what Howie said was extremely insensitive, but we’re glad he recognized his mistake and did his best to make up for it.
Don’t worry Howie, we know everyone makes mistakes and we still love you!
