’80s icon Huey Lewis may have to hang up the towel permanently due to a recent severe hearing loss over the past couple months.

He tells fans in a regretful statement:
“The doctors believe I have Meniere’s disease and have agreed that I can’t perform until I improve. Therefore the only prudent thing to do is to cancel all future shows.”
Meniere’s is an inner ear disorder that causes tinnitus, vertigo, and in most cases permanent hearing loss.
