Hugh Laurie – star of the hit show House and one of TV’s highest paid actors – was recently the victim of a home burglary.
While Laurie and his wife escaped the incident unharmed, the two were at home and asleep in bed when robbers broke into his new 4 million dollar Hollywood Hills home.
Scary!!!!!!!
They know they’re lucky to have slept through the robbery because who knows what would have happened if the actor – famous for his tough love character on House – had disturbed the crime in progress!
A spokesman for Laurie has confirmed the incident, saying: “Hugh was the victim of a burglary at his home. The matter is under investigation by police and I cannot say any more.”
Laurie is understandably unnerved, especially since police believe the burglary was perpetrated by the same low-lifes who’ve broken into the neighboring homes of country singers Faith Hill and Tim MCGraw, and movie studio boss Sherry Lansing.
Laurie lost his laptop in the burglary.
Hope there was nothing scandalous on there! On second thought, there better be lots of salaciousness on there!
Hugh may be bummed, but we’re sure he doesn’t mind too much. He just scored a $400,000-per-episode pay rise.
He can buy a few new laptops with that!
