Hunger Games Actor Arrested For Assault With Intent To Kill

One of the stars from the Hunger Games has been arrested.

According to court documents obtained by People on Wednesday, 27-year-old Ethan Jamieson — who played the young male tribute from District 4 in the 2012 adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ beloved novel — was arrested on April 8 on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill after allegedly attacking three men with a handgun in Raleigh, North Carolina.

WHOA!

The Raleigh Police Department explained to the outlet that officers were alerted to shots being fired at 9:52 p.m. on March 22. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they found the victim, “who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving.” The Raleigh Police Department noted two others were in the car at the time. It is unknown at this time why Jamieson fired shots at the three guys.

Police went on to say that “during the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson (27) as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims’ vehicle.” They then arrested and charged the former child actor. Per the court documents, the charges are in connection with the alleged use of a 9mm semi-automatic handgun to assault three men — E.F., J.M., and K.W.

Jamieson was denied bail the day after his arrest. He is expected in court again for his disposition hearing on April 30. This is not the first time Jamieson has found himself in trouble with the law. Court documents obtained by People revealed he was arrested in Raleigh back in March 2025 for resisting a public officer. There are no more details about that situation at the moment, but he was reportedly sentenced for the offense three days later, on March 26, 2026.

Beyond the Hunger Games, you may recognize Jamieson from his guest role on One Tree Hill in 2009, the 2010 TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16. His last role was in 2013 when he played Milo Truth on the series Justified. And it looks like he has been up to no good at times years after moving on from acting! Oof!
