It’s been QUITE a day for Hunger Games fans!
Earlier today, we saw the new, super emotional HG tv spot…and we were pret-ty impressed.
Now, we’ve gotten a first look at the cover of this week’s EW magazine (above), and we’ve got some behind-the-scenes blurbs from members of the cast/crew!
Here’s what director Gary Ross had to say about the violence level of The Hunger Games:
“Is it violent? Yes. Do we back off from what it is? No, we don’t.”
And here’s what Lenny Kravitz/Cinna had to say about working with Jennifer Lawrence, who was already friends with his daughter Zoe:
“I love that girl. The minute I met her she became a part of the family.”
And here’s Woody Harrelson/Haymitch Abernathy on initially turning down his role in HG:
“Listen, I├óΓé¼Γäóm nuts. It was just a stupid thing where I hadn├óΓé¼Γäót read the books yet. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót see that there was enough for me to do in the script. But then Gary called me back and said ‘You got to do this, I don’t have a second choice for the role.’ And of course flattery always gets the best of me so I read the books and really saw the depths of this guy. Holy s├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥, I would have been bummed to miss this.”
All very insightful! Makes us EVEN more excited to see this movie sixteen times in a row when it comes out on the 23rd! Ha!
