Twilight: New Moon has held the November B.O. record since 2009 when it raked in almost $143 million in its opening weekend!
But The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opened last night and is already on pace to not only beat that record, they’re going to BURY the Twilight saga deeper than Rue’s dead body!
The Thursday night numbers alone earned THG more than $25 MILLION!

That’s 28% higher than the Thursday gross of the first film! And with that strong of a start, experts are now predicting that Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson’s long-awaited return to the big screen could make upwards of $180 mill this weekend!
And if they do indeed make that much in ticket sales, The Hunger Games would take the top spot away from Iron Man 3 for biggest opening of the year, and be on track to be the top grossing flick of 2013!
Catching fire is an understatement. This flick is about to blaze the box office like WOAH!
