This was an eerily, wonderful surprise.
Yesterday, we got home and found something rather special in the mail: a present from the President of Panem, Coriolanus Snow. His gift, to our delight and terror, was a single, signature white rose, with a card attached reading:
From all of us here in the Capitol, I would like to wish you a happy Valentine’s Day and a happy Hunger Games.

Those who have read the trilogy understand the significance — and the horror — of sending out roses as a promotional tool. But we’ve got to tell you, as much as we’re frightened to death, we’re also really impressed. This is some smart marketing for a film that barely needs any more hyping up!
