Game Hunter Crushed To Death By The Elephant His Friends Fatally Shot Down

no title
A big game hunter was crushed to death in Zimbabwe last week after his friends fatally shot an elephant that ended up falling on top of him.
Theunis Botha was out hunting with his buddies on Friday at the Good Luck Farm (a cruel name in retrospect) in Gwayi when they came across a herd of breeding elephants.
For some reason, the hunters thought it would be a good idea to go right in the middle of the love fest, which is when the “unfortunate incident” occurred.

Nyasha Simukia, a spokesman for Zimbabwe National Parks, said the giant animals were unsurprisingly agitated by the ambush, telling CNN:

“The unfortunate incident happened when the hunting party got in the middle of a breeding herd of elephants and were attacked by female elephants.”

Simukai said Botha was killed when his friends shot an elephant that collapsed on the 51-year-old hunter.
According to the Theunis Botha Big Game Safaris website, the family operation has been active since 1983, “born out of a mutual love for Africa and its natural beauty.”
Up close, that natural beauty is clearly dangerous af.
