We don’t like to throw around the word psycho, but we honestly have no idea what reason anyone could possibly have to murder children.
But on Wednesday evening, 33-year-old Ronald Lee Haskell went to a home in Spring, Texas, held five children while he waited for the parents to get home, and then shot all seven family members.
Police have not yet released the identities of the victims, but authorities have stated there are four children dead– two boys, ages 4 and 14, and two girls, ages 7 and 9.
A 15-year-old girl was the sole survivor; she is listed as being in very critical condition.
Despite her injuries, the brave teen was able to inform the police of Haskell’s intended destination, and he was apprehended at the home of the children’s grandparents.
Apparently he planned to kill them as well.
It seems Haskell is related to the family by marriage, but his estranged wife does not even live in the state. This crime just gets more and more senseless the more we hear.
Haskell is being charged with multiple accounts of capital murder.
