Ugh, everything about Diem Brown‘s battle with ovarian cancer is just heartbreaking.
In a recent interview, Diem divulged devastating details about her emergency hysterectomy after the cancer returned for a THIRD time.
The Real Word/Road Rules contestant revealed:
“When I came to, they told me that they couldn’t save my uterus. That was a blow. We’d fought so hard to keep it. Might sound silly to most, but it’s what made me still feel like a woman and gave me hope for a future. I felt empty…gutted.”
Wow, we can’t even begin to imagine the turmoil Diem must have felt post-op.
Despite the devastating news, Diem was able to find a silver lining in the sad situation:
“I might not have the ability to ever carry a child and I have this damn bag for the time being ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ but I’m alive.”
Yes, that’s definitely a positive way to look at the predicament. What a strong woman!
We hope Diem doesn’t face anymore set backs on her road to recovery. Girl needs a break!
