These are amazing and heartbreaking at the same time!
Third grade teacher Kyle Schwartz was having a tough time.
Though she loved teaching, she couldn’t help but see just how many of her students come from underprivileged homes — environments she wasn’t familiar with.

So she came up with a project: the kids write a note beginning with “I Wish My Teacher Knew…” and go from there. They could even turn them in anonymously.
The notes were full of sweet honesty and sad truths — so much so that when Ms Schwartz shared them on Twitter with the hashtag #iwishmyteacherknew, they immediately went viral.
