Talk about a MAJOR mishap of presidential proportions!
Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder set out for Washington, D.C. this weekend, with the intentions of attending President Barack Obama‘s second Inaugural ceremony, which took place today!
However, unfortunately for Ian, he didn’t end up making the big event!!
Did he get sick last minute? Miss his flight? Make other plans??? NOPE!
Ian took to Twitter to post the pic (above) and explain:
“Ahh!Who lost his ticket w/great seats to the Presidential Inauguration while grabbing food?THIS GUY!WTF?!BUMMMMER…”
Poor Ian! We’re just surprised he couldn’t coax the security guards into still letting him in with those piercing eyes and unbelievably good looks! Ha!
Smolderhalder attempted to look on the bright side and tweeted:
