On the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, it was apparent that no one was safe from death. Not Paul Wesley, not Kat Graham, not even our precious Ian Somerhalder!!
Although there’s always a possibility of characters coming back (we are talking about the world of TV after all), if you ask the man behind the smolder, Damon Salvatore is gone FOREVER.
The Vampire Diaries star shared a heartbreaking photo (below) on Instagram and captioned it:

Rest in Peace Damon Salvatore. #GameOver 🙁

But..but..but… NO!!!
As if watching it happen wasn’t bad enough, now Ian is going to toy with fans all summer about his character’s demise? And how the hell is it #GameOver, Smolder? The show is based the love triangle to end all love triangles. If we don’t have that, WHAT WILL WE WATCH FOR???
