Iggy Azalea dropped her latest single Team all the way back in March, and we STILL don’t have a new album from the songstress!
She initially planned to drop Digital Distortion in July, but the Aussie artist revealed over the summer that she’d have to push the release back due to her upcoming appearance on Australia’s X Factor.

However, Miz Azalea has since revealed to People that it was her big breakup with Nick Young that really delayed the new record!
The blonde beauty explained that discovering her then-fiancé had gotten baby momma Keonna Green pregnant AGAIN is what put a pause on her professional life, saying:
“I needed a lot of time. I mean, you wake up one morning and your fianc├â┬⌐ is having a baby with someone else, you’re going to need some time, right?”
The rapper dished that she wanted to come up with new songs about her single status, dishing:
“I just kind of felt like, on top of me needing the personal time, then feeling, ‘Okay, I’m single now. I want to have sexy songs. I want to say stuff about being single.’ I obviously didn’t write that on my [original] album because when I wrote it I was about to get married ├óΓé¼┬ª I don’t want to go and promote my album and get asked about my relationship that has just crumbled.”
And, considering things are going so well with new beau French Montana, we can’t wait for all sorts of shady songs and revenge tracks!
Soooo, when can we expect this juicy new release?! People says IggyIggs’ album will arrive in January!
