Director Roland Emmerich shared the news Monday night, tweeting:
In the original, single mother and exotic dancer Jasmine marries Will Smith‘s Air Force pilot character — after outrunning a wall of fire in the 2nd Street Tunnel.
In all likelihood newcomer Jessie Usher will be portraying her grown son.
And since Will won’t be back, he may just have some daddy issues…
