Yikes!
While reporting in San Francisco on a series of “smash and grab” robberies, an Inside Edition crew found themselves victim to the same crime!
The Inside Edition team set a trap for robbers in SF’s Alamo Square with a decoy car filled with goods, but little did they know that their crew car would be getting robbed at the same time as the sting operation.

Lisa Guerrero, host of Inside Edition was reviewing the break-in footage of the decoy car after catching a suspect when she realized what happened.
“Thieves came out here and they broke into our crew truck, they stole thousands of dollars worth of our equipment.”
We guess they accidentally put TWO bait cars out on the street…
According to the segment, there were 31,000 similar robberies in the San Francisco area in 2017, with only two percent ever solved.
